This Hingham first floor remodel reworked the kitchen, bar, custom hutch, and living room fireplace into one continuous space designed for cooking, entertaining, and everyday family life.
The kitchen perimeter is white beaded inset Mouser cabinetry in the Centra Square Inset Reno door style with Emtek satin nickel hardware. A dark wood island in the same door style anchors the U-shape layout and houses a built-in microwave. Engineered quartz with soft gray veining runs across the counters, paired with a Highland Park Dove Grey glass tile backsplash that adds quiet shimmer along the cooking wall.
The cooking zone is built around a Kohler Vault farmhouse sink under a window with a Blanco Culina faucet alongside. Across the room, a custom hutch with black-frame glass-front doors and in-cabinet lighting works as both display and storage, giving the room a real architectural moment.
Just off the kitchen, a built-in bar with an undercounter wine fridge extends the space for entertaining, and a new mantel and surround give the living room fireplace a finished frame that ties back to the cabinetry palette. Dramatic Feiss Kenney Collection light fixtures over the island and dining area thread the rooms together.
The result is a Hingham first floor that flows from prep to plate to fireside without a break in the design language. Browse more completed kitchens on the South Shore, see how we approach design and construction, or schedule a showroom visit to plan your own.
